I got a late start fly fishing. The Erie steelhead run is what finally pushed me over the edge. I put together a 10′ 7wt rod and started tying eggs. That was about 6 years ago and things have slowly evolved from there. These days I get around quite a bit, whether its a small Appalachian trickle or a big tailwater, I like ’em all.
I’m an Erie native but have called Pittsburgh home for over a decade now. Not being from SWPA originally, I don’t know the surrounding country-side that well. Everytime I take a trip out to the mountains, its a brand new experience to me, and I can’t see it ever getting old.
. . . I can’t see it ever getting old.

Doesn’t sound like “Purgatory” to me—more like Nirvana.
I guess it isn’t as bad as I make it out to be. Just have to drive a little.

Hi Gary, I tied those. Boy that was quite awhile ago now. I used to fish a lot more.
